Garrett obtained his BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May of 2019 and his Master's (MA) in May of 2021 from the University of Central Florida. He also completed a Graduate Certificate program in Autism Studies through Project ASD, a collaboration between Exceptional Student Education and Communication Sciences and Disorders. Garrett’s professional interests include: Early Intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs), and Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing. Garrett has completed the Feed the Peds (pediatric feeding and swallowing) training, myofunctional therapy training, and completed additional continuing education in the area of Autism reflected by his Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist certifications. In his free time, he enjoys walks along the Emerald Coast of Florida and volunteering at his local church in the nursery and children's ministry.
